Facing up to Past Wrongs

Over the course of the World War II, 4,555 men were held at the Santa Fe camp, which was where Casa Solana is today. At its peak, the camp spanned 80 acres and held about 2,100 men, said Nancy Bartlit, co-author of the book Silent Voices of World War II: When the Sons of The Land of Enchantment Met the Sons of the Land of the Rising Sun.
The cast of Face also includes: sixth-graders Amber Nolasco and Pearl Hesselden; fifth-grader RayLee Bell; fourth-grader Sarah Voter, third-graders Daria Balatsky, Eliana Bell, Teddy [Henry Lopez] and Ursula Vold; second-graders John Ossorgin, Matthew Romero and Mikie Romero; and first-grader Rise Miller.
